一、用助動詞do來強調
當句子中沒有其他的助動詞時，我們可以在動詞前使用助動詞do表示對該動詞的強調，用于表示強調的do可以有時態(tài)的變化，但其后的動詞要用原形，且do只用于現(xiàn)在時或過去式。
例如：But science does provide us with the best available guide to the future.(2015年 Text 2)
譯文：但科學的確能給我們提供將來可行的好的指導.
二、用某些副詞來強調
英語中用于強調的副詞比較多，比如那些表示“極端”和“完全”概念的副詞通常就可以用于表示強調，這類詞主要有：
merely 僅僅地 completely 徹底地 certainly 的確
purely 完全地 perfectly 全然地 exactly 恰恰
例如：But that’s exactly the kind of false cheerfulness that positive psychologists wouldn’t recommend. （2014翻譯）
譯文：但是那恰恰是一種虛假的，積極的心理學家不提倡的快樂。
三、關于it的強調句型
強調句型的構成是：It is (was) 被強調部分 that (who) 句子的其他成分。被強調的部分放在 It is (was) 之后，其它部分置于that之后。被強調部分可以是主語，賓語，表語或狀語。強調的主語如果是人，可以由who代替that。
被強調的成分舉例：
原句：Lily found my purse in the canteen two days ago.
強調主語：It was Lily who / that found my purse in the canteen two days ago.
強調賓語：It was my purse that Lily found in the canteen two days ago.
強調地點狀語：It was in the canteen that Lily found my purse two days ago.
強調時間狀語：It was two days ago that Lily found my purse in the canteen.
例如： It is the playgoers，the RSC (Royal Shakespeare Company) contends， who bring in much of the towns revenue because they spend the night(some of them four or five nights) pouring cash into the hotels and restaurants.(2006年Text 2)
分析： 該句是復合句，the RSC contends是插入語，it is the playgoers who bring in much of the towns revenue是一個強調句，because后是原因狀語從句。
譯文： 皇家公司堅持說，正是這些票友給鎮(zhèn)上帶來了豐厚的收入，因為他們要在此過夜(有些人會逗留四五天)，自然也就將錢大把地花在酒店和餐館里。
用so強調聽者同意說者所說的話，這種強調是將so提到句前，其他成分位置不變，常省略相同的部分。
例如： Witness payments became an issue after West was sentenced to 10 life sentences in 1995. （2001年完型)
譯文： 自1995年韋斯特被判處10次終身監(jiān)禁之后，向證人付款成為一個人們關注的問題。
五、用wh引導的名詞從句表示強調
例如： There has to be coordination of programs. What we need is a package deal.
譯文： 應該有一個項目上的相互協(xié)調，我們需要的是一系列的解決方案。
六、用反身代詞表示強調
例如： The authors of the United States Constitution themselves attempted to establish an effective national government while preserving autonomy for the states and liberty for individuals.
譯文： 美國憲法的起草者們試圖在建立一個有效的*的同時，保持各州的自制權和個人自由。
